The nursing home is under the stewardship of Jacqueline Perdrix, who manages staff with Registered Mental Health qualifications as well as those with QCF level two and three. Staff speak a variety of languages to aid communication with residents, including French, Romanian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Lithuanian.

Brook House also has two experienced chefs in-house, preparing freshly cooked food and delicious baked treats, while catering to varied dietary requirements for residents. With a well-stocked kitchen, there is everything residents could need. All rooms come with an en-suite complete with toilet and hand basin, ensuring hygienic facilities are within reach for all.

The team at Brook House Care Home value the stimulation of residents in both body and mind, which is why they offer a huge range of activities, including bingo, movie days, pamper days, exercise classes, arts and crafts and more. Once a week there is live entertainment from magic, musical or theatrical acts and a hairdresser visits every two weeks.

Close to the local shopping centre, a weekly trip is arranged for residents who wish to go and are able. There are also trips to local gardens, cafes and other sightseeing excursions, with walks along the river to provide fresh air and physical exercise for those able-bodied residents. Family days are arranged for good weather, typically in the summer months, with a barbecue, face painting, tombola and other activities.
